Focus Backdoor Pro

Focus Surfboards sponsored our first pro event, held at the legendary break BACKDOOR, Bat Galim Haifa, Israel.
The event was in memory of Ofer Zehavi, Alon Shimony and Guy Tzoref.
It was an amazing event with 3-4ft waves and some stormy condition. The storm didn’t prevent the surfers to show up and give their best to entertain the crowd of hundreds of people who stopped by during the day to see the event.

I will post the names of the winners later on, first place juniors and first place men won FOCUS boards! Lucky guys!

I also want to thank Billabong, Hurley and Ofer Mano who arranged the event; we are looking forward to more events like that this coming year.

Here is a link to some pictures on FACEBOOK; we will have a complete album this week.

February update

So finally the website is up and running, we are so excited! There is a lot of content to enter and we are working around the clock to fill the pages.
Here is the link to the site, I would appreciate some input on it, and we want to make it a very interactive site.

Some news from Japan, Nitzan is currently in Japan with our distributors and he is having a great time.
We had an amazing reaction from our booth at the surf Expo Yokahama; people are completely excited about our custom made Japan lineup.

The SUP scene in Japan is blowing up real fast and we are very happy to be positioned in the right place at the right time.

Check out the pictures from the show and from a fun session with Nitzan, Hiro and our team rider Ikaika Kauai.

The forecast looks good for this coming Saturday, so stay tuned.

Website! - Website!

Who thought to make a website will take so long?
But we are working very hard on it, gathering lots of media and text to really educate and bring the joy of surfing and paddle boarding to everyone out there.

In the past several months we had several photo sessions, contests, charity events and a few new team riders.
Next week we will introduce a little guy named Travis, he is little since he is just 13!! But when you see him rip with the FOCUS SUP you will quickly realize this ripper is headed to greatness. We are totally stocked about it!

Next month we have an important event in Japan with our local head dealer and also a new dealer in Europe… so much work and so little time.
So stay tuned for more news and update from your friends at FOCUS SURFBOARDS.

Thanks
Jacob

2010 !!!

Since this is our first post we are excited to do it as 2009 ends and 2010 begging, what a timing…

FOCUS SURFBOARDS was established in 2009 and when looking back at the year we had its amazing the road we travelled and the distance we covered.
From an idea to provide STAND-UP PADDLEBOARDS and SURFBOARDS to local stores and dealers we quickly realized that the amazing product we manufacture is to be distributed worldwide.

With offices in Maui Hawaii, Los Angeles, CA and Israel we are now working with surf shops, hotels, surf schools, distributors and many more! It just seems that the more we bring the more they want…

As excited as we are we definitely put a lot of hard work and seriousness into FOCUS SURFBOARDS, many challenges along the way and many opportunities are at every corner.

We must tip our hats to our loyal customers who until now supported us thru thick and thin, and with 2010 year at the door we are grateful to start the New Year with their support!

Soon we will have more posts from us, from our team riders and hopefully we will be able to share our ideas with you.

Aloha and Mahalo,
Jacob Benzvi, Nitzan Benhaim and Tal Meirovitch
